Founded on the belief that thoughtful lighting can transform how people experience architecture, In|Joy Design reflects both Brean's philosophy and a meaningful play on her own name—Brean Joy. The name In|Joy embodies her desire to create spaces that invite people to experience, connect with, and ultimately enjoy the built environment.

With more than a decade of multidisciplinary lighting design experience, Brean approaches every project with equal parts creativity, technical precision, and collaboration. She believes the strongest designs emerge when owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers work together toward a shared vision.

Whether developing quiet architectural details that disappear into a space or expressive lighting that becomes part of the experience, Brean is driven by one guiding principle: architecture is meant to tell a story, and light should help reveal it.

Her goal is simple—to create lighting that enhances the architecture, supports the people who use it, and leaves every space just a little more joyful than she found it.
